The Waterfront has had a total facelift to become one of the Mother City’s major attractions. It stretches across two manmade basins in the harbour, the one named Alfred, after Queen Victoria’s second son ( built in 1870), and the other after Queen Victoria herself (built in 1905). It has a sense of history and the new. It is old and glitzy.
The Waterfront houses the Victoria Wharf Shopping Mall; craft markets; an impressive food emporium; the Two Ocean’s Aquarium; a functional brewery; boat trip; you can take a nice long walk along the ocean’s edge; cinemas; live entertainment; restaurants for all tastes; luxury hotels and many more attractions.
